If you could have something named after you, what would it be?
Here is my answer to this daily prompt for WordPress bloggers.
If I could have something named after me, it wouldn’t be a monument or a street or a scholarship fund—although each of those carries significant value. I would want it to be a learning or training center—a place where growth is cultivated, curiosity is encouraged, and purpose is discovered.
Why a learning center?
I am deeply passionate about lifelong learning opportunities. Learning, to me, is not confined to a classroom or a set number of years. It’s a journey that continues throughout our lives, shaping who we are, how we lead, and how we serve others. I find great joy in walking alongside others in their learning journeys—whether they are students, professionals, leaders, or community members seeking to unlock new levels of potential.
Beyond personal passion, there is a greater mission. I am an advocate for access to and opportunity for quality education—not just locally, but globally. Around the world, too many people are still left behind when it comes to gaining the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to thrive. I believe that by investing in learning infrastructures—spaces that are inclusive, innovative, futuristic, and accessible—we can create transformative impact across generations.
So if something is to carry my name, let it be a space that outlives me. A space where minds are challenged, talents are developed, values are shaped, and dreams are made more possible. A space that empowers people to: 1) grow into who they are meant to be and then 2) pass that torch forward.
One day, I hope to create such initiatives—ones that reflect this vision and keep bearing fruit long after my time on this earth. True legacy is not about being remembered, but it is about what continues to grow because you lived.
